Climate Resilient and Carbon Neutral Tourism
The travel industry is one of the significant contributors to the world’s carbon emissions. It is responsible for more than 8% of carbon emissions. Airplane, cruises, hotels, taxis,s, etc are the major contributors. This industry is also responsible for global warming and climate change. The local indigenous people or businesses that completely rely on tourism i.e. people living in tourist destinations such as in the mountains (trekking region), nearby national parks, wetlands,s, etc are hardest hit by climate change. No matter how conscious you are, there are certain activities that are unavoidable. That’s where TREES roles come in. We encourage businesses to offsets carbon emissions and adopt climate-friendly technologies.
